Ladies Who Lunch
Since 1970, the Junior Service League of Brazosport (JSL) has proudly served the Brazosport community through volunteerism, leadership development, and charitable giving. Our mission is to prepare members for meaningful community involvement through education and hands-on service while providing ongoing financial support to local programs through our fundraising efforts.
We invite you to partner with us for our annual Ladies Who Lunch fundraiser, taking place on Wednesday, April 14, 2027, at 11:00 a.m. at the Donald "Dude" Payne Event Center in Angleton, TX. During the event, we will also recognize our Sustainer of the Year, honoring a sustaining member who exemplifies JSL's commitment to service, education, and philanthropy.
Over the past 15 years, JSL has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to students throughout the Brazosport area. Each year, we provide scholarships to non-traditional women returning to school at Brazosport College, as well as graduating seniors from southern Brazoria County pursuing higher education.
Your partnership helps make these scholarships and other community initiatives possible. Together, we can continue making a lasting impact on the lives of those in Brazosport.

Stuff the Bus
🚌 Help Us Stuff the Bus! 📚
Join the Junior Service League of Brazosport on Saturday, August 8, from 10 AM–2 PM at Kroger in Clute or Angleton as we collect health supplies for Brazosport ISD and Angleton ISD school nurses.
Donate items like Kleenex, Band-Aids, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, feminine hygiene products, ice packs, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, and more to help students stay healthy all school year. For a more detailed list of needs see each district’s needs below.
Thanks to our amazing community, we've donated thousands of essential items over the years. Let's make this our biggest Stuff the Bus yet!

5k/Fun Run
We invite you to join us our 2026 JSL Fun Run/5K. Our fun run will occur at MacLean Park in Lake Jackson, TX, on Saturday, April 25, 2026. We will feature both 5K and kids run courses with all finishers receiving medals! Hosted by the Junior Service League members, the fun run will benefit Southern Brazoria County high school graduates and women who are re-entering the workforce and attending Brazosport college after a break in education by providing annual scholarship awards. BEADS & BEATS BINGO FUNDRAISER
Join us for JSL Beads & Beats Bingo Fundraiser! Enjoy an evening of music themed bingo, wine toss, raffle and prizes on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 6-10 pm at Hardin Creek - 219 Parking Way, Lake Jackson.
Bring your friends, enjoy the excitement, and contribute to our efforts on building a stronger community. All proceeds will be donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Bingo cards are $10 each or 5 for $40. Private cabana rentals are also available. See you there!

This year, we have changed the name from “Tedy Bear Carnival” to “Candy Cane Carnival. Same great event, new name. This is a yearly community event who’s purpose is to raise funds for local programs. With cookie decorating, games, hot coco bar,prizes and performances from local business/artisit, this is a fun filled family event you do not want to miss. Ladies Who Lunch
We invite you to join us in preparation for our 2024 Annual Event, Ladies Who Lunch. This year’s event will be held at the Dow Academic Center in Hall D at Brazosport College on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. We will also be honoring our 2024 Sustainer of the Year, a sustaining member who exemplifies the organization’s educational and charitable mission.
Teddy Bear Carnival
Join us Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2-5pm Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church 102 Yaupon St, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566 for this years Teddy Bear Carnival!
General Admission $5 per person. All proceeds go to United Way of Brazoria County to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Each month, Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children at no cost to the child’s family.
How can you help support this program? A $30 donation sponsors one child for a year. That's for 12 books!
