5K/FUN RUN

LADIES WHO

LUNCH

This exciting community event will feature both a 5K course and a Kids Run, with every finisher receiving a medal to celebrate their accomplishment. Hosted by the members of the Junior Service League, this event supports a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the Fun Run help provide annual scholarships to Southern Brazoria County high school graduates, as well as women returning to the workforce and continuing their education at Brazosport College after a break in schooling. Come run, walk, cheer, and make a difference in our community!

Since 1970, the Junior Service League of Brazosport (JSL) has proudly served the Brazosport community through volunteerism, leadership development, and charitable giving. Our mission is to prepare members for meaningful community involvement through education and hands-on service while providing ongoing financial support to local programs through our fundraising efforts. Over the past 15 years, JSL has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to students throughout the Brazosport area. Each year, we provide scholarships to non-traditional women returning to school at Brazosport College, as well as graduating seniors from southern Brazoria County pursuing higher education.

Your partnership helps make these scholarships and other community initiatives possible. Together, we can continue making a lasting impact on the lives of those in Brazosport.

STUFF THE

BUS

Stuff the Bus is a partnership between JSL and our community to collect supplies which help Angleton ISD and Brazosport ISD school nurses and teachers keep students healthy throughout the school year. The focus of our effort is to collect items such as facial tissue, disinfecting wipes(both Clorox and Lysol types), hand sanitizer, adhesive bandages, baby wipes, resealable bags, feminine hygiene items of any size and type, and disposable rubber gloves. These items are needed to keep our students healthy while they learn.

CANDY CANE

CARNIVAL

Last year, we introduced a new name for one of our favorite holiday traditions! What was once known as the Teddy Bear Carnival is now the Candy Cane Carnival—same fun-filled event, fresh new name!

The Candy Cane Carnival is an annual community fundraiser that helps support local programs throughout the Brazosport area. Bring the whole family and enjoy cookie decorating, exciting games, a hot cocoa bar, prizes, and performances by talented local groups and artists. It's an afternoon of holiday fun you won't want to miss!

Join us Sunday, December 6, from 2:00–5:00 PM at Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church (102 Yaupon). We can't wait to celebrate the season with you and your family!

JSL PARK

BEATS &

BINGO

In partnership with the city of Lake Jackson’s Parks & Recreation, the JSL Parks Committee equips and maintains a city park, Junior Service League Park, located on Yaupon Street, north of Oyster Creek Drive. The committee is responsible for planning and hosting community events held on the park grounds.

Join us for JSL Beads & Beats Bingo Fundraiser! Enjoy an evening of music themed bingo, wine toss, raffle and prize. Bring your friends, enjoy the excitement, and contribute to our efforts on building a stronger community
