SUSTAINING HEARTS OF SERVICE

In September 1970, eight women met to discuss community outreach in the Brazosport community. Since 1970, the Junior Service League of Brazosport (JSL) has given thousands of volunteer hours to community projects and endeavors through service projects or fundraising. More than 250 active and sustaining members, the best and brightest women of the community are continually recruited to join our ranks. We invite you to join us as we continue to support our community.

The object of the Junior Service League shall be to train its members for effective participation in the community through a program of education and volunteer service. Junior Service League of Brazosport is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds from our fundraisers go directly to community and service projects in Southern Brazoria County.

Community is our core value, and we prioritize building relationships within our group. Not only do we build relationships while serving together, but we also coordinate socials for our members to get together. We work hard and play hard!

  • CANDY CANE CARNVAL

    Looking for a fun-filled family event? Come on out and join us at this years Candy Cane Carnival on Sunday, December 7 from 2-5pm at Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church (102 Yaupon, Lake Jackson).

    Cookie Decotating, Games, Hot Coco Bar, Prizes, Pictures with Santa and so much more!

    Cost: $5.00 per person 3 yrs old and older.
    1 Raffle ticket provided per paid entry.

    All proceeds raised will go toward the JSL Community Partners

  • BEADS & BEATS BINGO FUNDRAISER

    Join us for JSL Beads & Beats Bingo Fundraiser!  Enjoy an evening of music themed bingo, wine toss, raffle and prizes on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 6-10 pm at Hardin Creek - 219 Parking Way, Lake Jackson.

    Bring your friends, enjoy the excitement, and contribute to our efforts on building a stronger community.  All proceeds will be donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Bingo cards are $10 each or 5 for $40. Private cabana rentals are also available. See you there!

  • 5K/FUN RUN FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

    We invite you to join us in our 2026 JSL 5K/Fun Run. Our fun run will occur at MacLean Park in Lake Jackson, TX, on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

    We will feature both 5K and kids run courses, with all finishers receiving medals! Hosted by the Junior Service League members, the fun run will benefit Southern Brazoria County high school graduates and women who are re-entering the workforce and attending Brazosport College after a break in education by providing annual scholarship awards.
