Community Programs

Since 1970, the Junior Service League of Brazosport has dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to the community through a variety organizations.  Currently, JSL partners with the following community programs. 

BACH- Brazoria County Association for Children with Handicaps

BACH is nonprofit agency that serves, advocates, and equips children and families living with developmental delays and disabilities. BACH is committed to providing resources and tools to parents and caregivers to become effective, life-long advocates for their children.

Brazoria County Dream Center

The Brazoria County Dream center provides avenues of healing to the souls of hurting humanity in Brazoria County, TX. The Dream Center addresses both the physical and emotional needs of the community. They accomplish this by focusing on:  rebuilding hope, renewing lives, and restoring dreams.

Brazosport Cares Food Pantry

Brazosport Cares tirelessly works towards a hunger free community in which everyone has access affordable and nutritious food because they believe no on should face the day hunger. Brazosport Cares makes it their mission to feed Brazosport’s hunger through food distribution, education, collaboration and advocacy.

Brighter Bites with Angleton ISD
Brighter Bites is a Houston based nonprofit founded in 2012 that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables directly into families hands, while teaching them how to use it and track their behavior change. The make it fun, they make it free and they make it happen through a simple three-part formula:  fill the plate, educate, and make it great!

Home Delivered Meals

Home Delivered Meals provides meals that are nutritionally balanced and are prepared daily at the CHI St. Luke Health- Brazosport to homebound senior citizens. Their volunteers provide a friendly face and a warm greeting that accompany a hot meal.

Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement offers a volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs that fosters work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential. JA students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and entrepreneurship in the 21st-century global marketplace.

Lift Up Mentoring through Brazosport ISD
LIFT UP Mentoring is a school-based mentoring program that connects supportive, caring adults with students in the Brazosport ISD. This is a one on one mentoring done during the school day for 30 minutes a week for students grades 3-12.

SPCA of Brazoria County
The SPCA of Brazoria County is no-kill nonprofit organization committed to promoting responsible pet ownership in order to prevent animal cruelty and abandonment.  The are dedicated to leading Brazoria County to a time where there are no more homeless pets in our community.

True To Life Ministries

True to Life Ministries mission is to cultivate hope and introduce people to true life in Christ by providing the skills, resources, and community of support necessary for life-change.
