The cluster of cities known as Brazosport along the upper Texas coast lies at a crossroads of cultures, with ties both to the Deep South and to the Old West. Our cuisine reflects that cultural diversity, with popular local specialties ranging from spicy Tex-Mex to ranch-country barbecue to authentic French Cajun to fresh-from-the-ocean seafood. In addition, residents come to our community from across the globe, brining with them treasured recipes from the lands they left.
The vibrant women who are members of the Junior Service League of Brazosport are dedicated to volunteerism and to helping make their community a better place in which to live. Proceeds from the cookbook are used to fund JSL community service projects.
