Junior Service League of Brazosport is rich in tradition and history. Since its founding in 1970, the Junior Service League of Brazosport has been committed to improving our community through programs of education and volunteerism. Since its inception fifty years ago when eight women met to establish a service organization, the best and brightest women have joined in the effort to make a positive impact in our community. With over 250 active and sustaining members, thousands of volunteer hours have been dedicated to meeting the needs of the Brazosport community.
Although the 2020-2021 service year is beginning during unprecedented times, it is during uncertain and challenging times that give us the opportunity to fuel our passion for volunteerism. Our community needs our service and generosity now more than ever. Our active members are the heartbeat of this organization. They take the initiative to serve our community in various capacities. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic is contagious!
Junior Service League of Brazosport is blessed with many strong and dedicated leaders who have committed to serving on the 2020-2021 board as executive officers and board members. Their strength, wisdom, integrity, and enthusiasm will continue to move our organization forward into a direction of growth and innovation. Their leadership will provide our members with the guidance, support, and inspiration to be the best version of themselves. I am proud to serve alongside such wonderful women.
I am humbled and honored to serve as the President of the Junior Service League of Brazosport for the 2020-2021 service year. This organization has fulfilled my life in so many ways and I am ready to serve in this leadership capacity. When I reflect on my time in the Junior Service League, I think about the service, impact, and joy this organization has brought me. My servant’s heart has grown tremendously because of the Junior Service League. I also cherish the friendships and memories I have made with women who have the same goals to make our community a wonderful place
I am confident our members will continue to open their hearts and their eyes to the needs of others. We will continue to work together in fulfilling our organization’s mission and purpose. Albert Einstein said it best, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile”.
